About

Red Umbrella Walking Tours, we’re all about providing unique learning experiences. Our tours are relaxed and unhurried, so that all of our guests are able to enjoy the scenery, ask questions and even make friends with fellow guests as we walk our interesting city. By taking a Red Umbrella Walking Tour, you’ll do more than just come and visit, you’ll spend time actually experiencing the history and hearing the stories. Our tours in Gaffney are absorbing and a one-of-a-kind adventure.

On some other tours in other places, you see monuments and hear dates that begin to roll into one after a few minutes. But, at Red Umbrella Walking Tours, we don’t just show you monuments and spit out dates. Since our promise is providing unique learning experiences, we share with you information about our folks–our ancestral family–who have made the history we’re talking about, used what it is we’re looking at, or developed the area where you’re walking. We share our folks’ successes and perhaps their eccentricities. On one of our tours, you’ll learn about Gaffney through the ages, through the lens of a native tour guide who reveals Gaffney history by relaying the stories of the folks who made that history.

Our tour guides are local, bold, entertaining, know a ton about Gaffney and its people; but, more importantly, love where they live. Our guides want to show you what makes this unique little city something special.
